PPCF Samhain 2021 Recap by Balinnor

This past Sunday afternoon, by the bank of Lake Seminole, those who attended the Pinellas Pagan Circle of Friends (PPCF) Samhain ritual were taken on a magickal journey beyond the veil. From the guided meditation, to the Cauldron containing the Waters of Memory, to the doorway opened by Priestesses of Hecate, through which attendees could pass if they had their fare and sacrifice, it was obvious to all that a great deal of thought and preparation went into every aspect of the Samhain Ritual.

The presenters of ritual were a mix of experienced members of the local community and some new faces who were taking on roles for the first time, including Rev. Ben, who is the Pastor of the St. Petersburg Unitarian Universalist Church. The volunteer presenters gave each attendee a small vial of anointing oil and a gift bag. Inside the bag, could be found a number of surprises, all of which had been hand crafted by Lerah, the High Priestess for the event, including bath salts, incense, charcoal and the aforementioned coins by which to pay the fare to cross the veil. Those who ventured through the doorway were rewarded with a scrying mirror and a special gift to bring back from the beyond.

As the Sun started to slip down toward the horizon, and the attendees gathered up their belongings to return to the mundane world, there were a number of moist eyes. A lasting sentiment to the beauty of all that happened within the PPCF Samhain Circle. To top it off the generosity of the community resulted in a collection of monies, groceries, and fresh fruits to benefit the Hands of the Goddess Charity for their annual Thanksgathering Meal Outreach
